From the moment your eye enters this composition it is pulled — through spiraling vortexes, along ribbons of fluid ink, past clusters of circles that range from solid black to delicate dotwork to fine-line starbursts. There is no single place to rest. Every corner offers something different, something earned through hours of deliberate, unforgiving mark making.

What makes Broach remarkable up close is the range of technique contained within a single work. Dense crosshatching builds shadow and texture beneath sweeping organic forms. Stippled dotwork gives shape and dimension to the curling forms that reach outward from the composition's center. Solid black ink anchors it all — bold, permanent, final.

This is a piece that lives differently at different distances. Stand back and it pulses with movement. Move closer and it reveals the hours.
