Commission an Original
A Piece made just for you!



From First Line to Finished Piece
Consultation
Share the details of your commission, size, space, color or mood direction, and any inspiration you'd like Matt to work from.
Design Sketch
Matt creates an initial design concept, working out symmetry, structure, and flow before any final linework begins.
Design Approval
Review the sketch and request up to two included revisions if needed. Once the design is finalized, changes after will carry a non-refundable fee of 10% of the agreed upon commission price. If design changes are requested too late in a project, they may not be possible.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of half the agreed upon commission price is required before work begins.
Creation
Work begins on the final piece. Most commissions take several weeks to complete; Matt will provide a realistic timeline for your specific piece during consultation.
Completion & Final Payment
Once finished, you'll be notified and the remaining balance is due within 14 days of completion. If the remaining balance isn't received after 14 days, Matt retains the rights to re-sell the completed piece to another buyer. The deposit is non-refundable in this case.
Shipping
Your original ships fully insured and free of charge, unframed, and carefully packaged from the studio to your door.
Copyright & Promotion
Matt retains full copyright to all commissioned work, even after the piece is sold. Completed commissions may be featured in Matt's portfolio and promotional materials unless you request otherwise during consultation.
